So I disconnected my desktop from the Internet and tried again. This time it gave me a screen that stated that I needed to call a phone number to get a "validation code". After waiting on hold for 30 minutes for his supervisor, he came back on the line to tell me that the supervisor is still "busy". I asked him for a refund. He said I would have to get it from Amazon. He had asked me for my license number and where I bought it before I decided he was asking too many questions.
I am not giving my personal information to an outsourced 3rd party in India, and I am not using financial software that connects to the Internet without my permission.

So far, so good! I won't be truly using it in full force until after the first of the year but as far as the setup goes it seems great, just like I remember. If after I start using it in full I find glitches or problems I'll update my review. My husband and I own and run a small business with no employees so I don't have to deal with payroll at all, just sales no credit cards and inventory for our own use, we're a strictly cash based business so it's pretty straight-forward.

I put this off as long as I could but since I have I had 5 more days before I am locked out of my own company files Here is the problem with intuit It's not that there software is just ok at best. The part that is bad is that they force you to update every 3 years if you use payroll. So not only do they get residual payroll which I understand for payroll only but then they force residuals from your software licenses as well.
When you have multiple PC's then you must pay for new versions on all of your pc's. Never used to be this way way back when Been using since Once you're sucked in they know it and now you are a hostage.
This is the main reason I can't stand large corporations I love the rush from intuit's robot cookie cutter comments "we're sorry for what you are experiencing" BS you are!! Like what? Improvements to intuit's financials from small business owners. Look at other basic accounting software and shop for an independent payroll company. It will be way cheaper in the long run instead of having intuit suck you in and they know they have you.
If I wasn't so close to retirement I would totally ditch these con artists. To top it all off I have to spend another couple hours getting everything "re-synced" to my host pc as that never goes as planned either.
So a few more hours of revenue wasted dealing with updates. Thankfully this will probably be the last "update improvements" which never amount to anything I will have to purchase. Looks the same, works the same, just add a couple different reports for the new and improved version LOL.
Just can't wait for the robot reply of product improvement residual expense. My new improved "version" just froze up and I had to reboot my PC. Don't believe the fake 5 Star reviews. Notice the lack of description of just one or two sentences with no explanations. This is becoming too common on amazon now. Update to top this "brilliant" software off Now have to spend hours rebuilding it. Intuit still can't truly make their software better But love the recurring revenue.
